Published locally is a book aimed at giving dog owners (and potential owners) a clear insight into the best ways to care for their canine companions. Ann Fawcett, proprietor of Rhydlewis Kennels, has gained extensive knowledge about these animals and their behaviour over many years of living and working with them. Her book - Wild Dogs at Heart: A revealing look at pet dogs and their care - is a comprehensive guide based on her experience.

News about this remarkable book is spreading far and wide. Orders are coming in from all over Wales and England as well as further afield. One reader, from Sweden, said: ‘I have never read such a fine and informative book on dogs.’

With 100 pages in hard cover format, the book is illustrated with colour and black and white photographs and a number of original drawings. The text covers many subjects from puppyhood to the care of dogs in their old age, with particular emphasis on keeping dogs happy and healthy.

All proceeds from the sale of Wild Dogs at Heart will be used to help support Rhydlewis residential home for dogs, which is run alongside the boarding kennels.

  1. We have a Springer Spaniel 15 years old He can hardly walk, he bumps into things. Gets lost in our own small back yard. Cries or whines a lot and I have to basically hand feed him. He looks healthy & relieves him self ok. A lot of folks say I should have him put to sleep but I love him so much I can not do It. What Is your opinion?
