A unique free entry day for all ages at Newcastle Emlyn’s Castle this Saturday July 2nd 10am till 5.30, includes Most Amazing Dragon Competition, The Return of the Golden Dragon Procession, appearance of Baby Dragon, Merlin, Three Unwise Men and a Good Woman, Green Fayre and Craft Demonstrations, Storytelling, Music and Poetry Tent, Opening of Sculpture and Unveiling of Golden Dragon Mosaic, History of River and Riverside Story Walk, Childrens Fancy Dress, Facepainting, Make a Dragon Oak Pendant and Gold Wand etc etc
Artistic Director Pamela Gaunt says…
‘This year we had funding from Awards For All for the community making of the beautiful mosaic and a small opening event. However, so many people have stepped forward to participate and contribute to the Green Fayre and Music tent that we are covering all the lower ground with stalls and events on Sustainability, the front of the castle on Childrens Creativity and the top of the castle on the quieter Spirit of the Dragon which is behind the whole event. Come and join in whatever level you want, as we celebrate the importance of the return of the Golden Dragon and the fulfillment of Merlins prophecy!”
