Filming for People’s Millions Announced
Filming in Newcastle Emlyn for the ITV Programme “The People’s Millions” has been announced
It will take place at Newcastle Emlyn King George V Playing Field on Monday 17th November from 11.30 pm to 4pm in the park!
Cllr. Fiona White of the Playground Committee said:
“We need to show how much our community support the children’s park in our attempt to win £50,000 from the People’s Millions.
“People are welcome throughout the day for background scenes but we need everyone in the park at 3.30pm to film the final group scene. Everyone is welcome – children, teenagers, parents, grandparents, teachers & local businesses, everyone!”
“The film will be shown on ITV Wales Tonight at 6pm on 24th November 2008 at 6pm. We need your support for the filming and your VOTE on the day!”

The People’s Millions £50,000 would really help us achieve a fabulous community area for the town. Our main aim is to equip the park with fabulous play facilities for children of all ages but we would like to add a perimeter path around the entire park to make accessing it easier for everyone. Parents with pushchairs and wheelchair users will be able to enjoy the park without trying to wheel their way across a field. We would also like to landscape the area a little more, put in new seats and make the picnic area more attractive but all this costs lots of money. As a committee we are still tirelessly applying for grants and funding but this competition really is our big chance to get a large lump sum of cash to invest in the playing field so please remember to VOTE on the 24th November and ask everyone you know!
