Vote for a possible Goodyear playground grant

Congratulations all those who voted to nominate our playground. We have now been short listed in the competition to receive the £10,000 grant to refurbish a needy playground. Even if you have already voted to nominate our playground, please vote for us again in the main competition starting Tuesday May 6th.
The winner will be the playground with the most votes, so the Action Group and King George V Playing Fields Committee are urging as many people as possible to vote for our playground by following the link below and clicking the link showing the percentage total for our site. You will need to register with the website in order to vote.

Posters asking people to vote for our park are being put up around town. If you would like to display one or put one up at work, please email Fiona White at nce.actiongroup@btinternet.com
Please get your family to vote too, or send your friends our
special electronic postcard with pictures of the playground and a request to vote.
Thanks!

This is an excellent opportunity for us to bring in £10,000 towards our cause, if we are successful. The first stage is to be shortlisted and then in May the winner will be chosen based on the number of votes received for the shortlisted playgrounds. Thanks to all those who have already nominated the playground - please be sure to vote on the same site (see link above) when the time comes in May - and to get everyone you know to do the same!
For anyone interested in joining Newcastle Emlyn’s King George V Playing Fields Association Committee, which manages all of our fund-raising and grants applications, there is a meeting tomorrow (Monday 28th April) at 8pm at the Council Chambers offices. As I understand it, anyone is welcome to attend with a view to joining and supporting this important cause for our town’s children.
We did it - we’ve been shortlisted!!! Once voting starts in a few days, we need everyone to go online on vote, as that’s how we’ll win. See link below:
PLEASE VOTE FOR NEWCASTLE EMLYN’S CENTRAL PLAYGROUND FROM 2ND MAY 2008 ONWARDS, AS WE’VE BEEN SHORTLISTED FOR A £10K GRANT AND THE WINNER WILL BE CHOSEN BASED ON THE NUMBER OF VOTES RECEIVED OVER THE VOTING PERIOD IN MAY:

VOTING GOES LIVE ON TUESDAY 6TH MAY 2008!
For all of you who have so kindly voted already please can you do so again as your vote will not count until after the voting goes live on Tuesday. Please then ask everyone you can think to do the same.
We have posters asking people to vote for our park that we are putting up around the town and if you would like to display one or put one up at work, please email us at nce.actiongroup@btinternet.com
It would be a fantastic start to the redevelopment of the playing fields to win this competition but we need your help!
Thank you, Fiona white
I can happily confirm that we are the ONLY Welsh playground on the shortlist, so we need the whole of Wales to come online and vote for us!!!
For anyone who hasn’t yet got round to voting, or knows someone else who might vote, we urge you to do something right now, as our % of the playground vote is slipping rapidly as other towns rally around their causes….
The winner of the Goodyear £10,000 playground award will be the one of the eight on the shortlist with the most online votes. To vote, go to http://www.mygoodyear.co.uk or directly to the vote page at:
http://www.mygoodyear.co.uk/buddyZone/nominate/gallery/index/?ageRange=adult
After a couple of false starts, the voting really is up and running now, and, although we are in the lead by share of votes, this is sliding fast. We need every vote we can get. Voting ends in a few days, so please get everyone voting ASAP!!!
THANK YOU!!!
Sue
