Online hustings abandoned
The online hustings planned for this site has been abandoned as I’ve received valid criticisms from supporters of both parties that the way it was conducted by me could be unfair to their candidate.
Instead I have invited both candidates to add a banner to the home page so that voters know the choice they have on Election Day on Thursday November 4th.
The most important thing is that people vote for the candidate who they think will best represent the views of townspeople on Carmarthenshire County Council and has the best policies.

This is a great pity.
The election literature we have received is just not adequate – it tells us nothing about the candidates’ views on local issues, just lists of committees they sit on and how much they love the area.
This is not good enough and no basis on which to elect anyone. So, ladies, tell us where you stand, what you see as the most important local issues and what you want to change.
Without that information, there is no choice to be made, and no point in voting.
It is very disappointing that there has been no debate or discussion of local issues during this campaign either on this website or in any other public forum. Neither candidate has gone beyond making very vague statements about how they will stand up for the community despite a number of requests that they should state their views on a wide range of local issues ranging from traffic calming, planning and problems caused by binge drinking.
This is not good for local democracy.
