Mayor calls special Town Council Meeting to reconsider supermarket approval

Newcastle Emlyn’s Mayor, Cllr Maureen Webley has called a special meeting of the Town Council in the Teifi Valley Day Centre on Tuesday 5th May 2009 from 7.30pm.
Cllr Webley wants members to think again on their approval of the Cawdor Cars Supermarket proposals after overwhelming public opposition to the scheme emerged following the Town Council voting in favour of the scheme on March 24th.
It is expected that councillors will be lobbied by voters on the night.
