Grwp Heddwch Aberteifi - Cardigan Peace Group

Many people in Iraq, in the Middle East and in the world may be pleased that the brutal dictator Saddam Hussein is no longer in power. But what have been the longer term costs of this ‘success'? What is the damage?

Four things:

1) 27th Sept, Saturday. Hugh rally in London about Palestine. A bus will be going from this area, organised by Newcastle Emlyn peace group. If you'd like to go, contact Harry Rogers 01559 371201 or 07799 382989 as soon as possible. We'll have some kind of demonstration in Cardigan at 11.00 outside the Guild Hall on the same day.

2) Len has made a "peace machine" for us, i.e. a structure about 6' tall which shows nine slogans on each side and the slogans are moved by turning a wheel at the side. Because the slogan move, the public tend to read them and to wait for the next one to come into view as it flips over the top of the machine. So we need 36 slogans - either 18 English and 18 Welsh translations or 18 English and 18 different Welsh ones. Send your ideas please to philippa@maesymorfa.com or 01239 654561.

Dear phillippa, Someone called Mario Molinari, who got my phone number from the peace group web-site, has sent me the manuscript for a book, related to the peace and environment movement, which he would like some feedback on.
